Marisa Costa

Marisa has spent a decade in luxury travel, working her way through various industry roles. She started as a tour operator at Absolute Travel, before following her love of Africa to specialize in safaris at Proafrica. Noticing the lack of next-generation advisors, Marisa proceeded to create the NEXT program for Protravel & Tzell, where she recruited and trained new advisors for both agencies. With her roles on the Global Board of Young Travel Professionals (YTP) and as the Founder of the travel advisor community, AMIKO, Marisa has cemented herself as an authority on developing new talent for top luxury agencies.

Marisa graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), where she studied abroad in Africa, South America and Europe, before moving to Spain to teach English for several years. Marisa is a born and raised New Yorker, but as a true digital nomad, you can often find her working remotely from preferred properties around the globe.
