Charlotte Thomas

I am a North Carolina native, and I love living here. My father was in the US Army which gave me opportunities to live and travel in Europe at a young age. I am always ready for a travel adventure. Here are a few of my highlights:

• In the late 1970s, I lived in Berlin, Germany (West Berlin) during the Cold War Era; surrounded by walls covered in broken glass and gun towers. My family traveled all over Germany, leaving Berlin at night by train. We drove and tent camped throughout Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein.
• I watched my dad negotiate with a Soviet soldier, trading a carton of Marlboro cigarettes for a USSR military issued belt. Pretty intense and super cool.
• I have co-led about 20 trips all over the US and 2 in Europe.

• A few bucket list trips for me are Iceland, Portugal, Southern France, New Zealand and I will never get enough of Germany.

Planning is a passion of mine. It's like putting together a puzzle, you know what you want it to look like and when it's complete - it's fantastic!
