I came to the travel profession in what I feel was a natural progression. My university studies were in history/international relations. Through a moment of happenstance, I discovered that combination which underlies my life's work in travel: my love of culture, art, diversity and life found by exploring all seven continents and my desire to share what is out there to discover.

Everywhere I have explored, I learn and bring back to my professional life the means by which I can counsel, advise and create a meaningful journey for my clients.

I have had a lifelong respect and joy for the people of various places and cultures. Each time I learn something more: how they express their own culture, values, arts, and social structures. The only way for us to understand this broad range of ways of living is to visit, to listen, to learn and to enjoy this breadth of livingness.

The Earth provides us a gift if we can explore her variety of places. The privilege of viewing the spectacular beauty of Antarctica, learning a craft from a local artisan in a country being visited, finding a quiet spot in a bustling city, dining out experiencing superb local or international cuisine, having an outdoor adventure beyond the norm... all these are part and parcel of the discoveries our world can offer.

I have been so pleased to have many years to interact and plan client journeys of exploration. Together we plan and discuss, refining and combining my skill sets with their wishes and ideas to create the itinerary which is a perfect outcome. With good humor I always say: "You know, it is both of our journeys we plan. You just get to be the ones to travel on it."

We laugh together and the trip, once taken, is a fulfillment of a dream. How wonderful is that!!
