I did not grow up in a family of “luxury travelers.” My dad was in the Army and we moved often. When we lived in Germany for several years, my parents would pack us up in the station wagon Dad had shipped over and drive us all over Europe. European streets were not made for large American station wagons and we received lots of stares and head shaking. Luxury travel this was not!

The first time I experienced luxury travel was on a visit to China—and it showed me how relaxing, rejuvenating, and inspiring a journey could really be. For almost thirty years I worked in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill, arranging travel for various members of Congress and other VIPs. I got to go on this China visit as a guest of the Chinese Ministry of Tourism. From the moment we boarded the bus to go to the airport, we were totally pampered.

From this trip—and my 30 years planning travel for political VIPs—I learned the importance of attending to the smallest details and proactively avoiding potential problems to make a trip run smoothly. Little personal touches and having someone to turn to when something went wrong eased the stress on weary travelers.

Today, I want to share my love of travel and help others check off their travel bucket list. Running my own luxury travel agency allows me to use my years of travel experience, passion for customer service, and network of local suppliers to design unique travel experiences for you.
