Even as a child, I remember being fascinated with other destinations and cultures. I would look at maps for hours to see where each country was in relation to the U.S. As an adult in college, I opted to sign up for a study abroad program in Spain instead of taking biochemistry one summer. I was hooked. A few years later, I packed up a carry-on bag, quit my job as a chemist, and traveled solo throughout 17 countries for 3 months, as well as Egypt and Turkey. It was a life-changing experience. My most recent adventure began in January 2020. I packed my belongings, moved aboard our Leopard catamaran sailboat, and spent 3 months exploring the coast of Florida, the Dry Tortugas, and ultimately the Bahamas. After spending 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, I am ready to hang up the lab coat and eager to begin my next adventure of travel advising! Nothing excites me much more than to plan experiences for other people as well.
My travel highlights:
- Studying art & culture in Spain while living at the University of Madrid dorm for a summer
- Traveling solo for 3 months through 15 European countries, plus Egypt and Turkey
- Hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and spending two nights under the bright stars and beautiful scenery
- Traveling solo in New York City, Boston, Cape Cod, Las Vegas, and the Carolinas
- Living aboard a catamaran sailboat for 3 months with my boyfriend, sailing the seas of Florida and the Bahamas
