Nicole Williams
Born and raised in Chicago, I was exposed to travel early in my life by my parents who always prioritized family vacations. They instilled in me the importance and excitement of discovering new places, people & cultures within and outside the United States.
I am a proud Spartan, having attended Michigan State University where I earned a degree in Global & International Studies, Anthropology and a minor in Geography. During those years, I discovered my love for Asia, when I volunteered in the northern part of Thailand. There, I helped build sections of a school as well as a water tank while also teaching English to local school children. My most momentous adventure came when I studied abroad through the Semester at Sea program; taking classes on a ship while sailing to over 10 different countries throughout Asia, Africa and Europe over the span of four months. The people I met & the various cultures I was exposed to during this time was truly lifechanging.
My enthusiasm for anthropology has taught me how essential engaging with locals is to traveling the right way. Having this kind of experience provides the opportunity to become an enlightened global citizen who is capable of being more empathetic of people who come from different cultural backgrounds. I’ll continue to strive for authenticity in my travels as well as my clients.
