Hello,

I’m Debbie Zetterberg, owner of Now Departing Travel. Every person has their own story as to why they have become a travel advisor. I am no exception so, I'd like to share a bit of my own story with you. Being born into an aviation family, I had the privilege of having the world at my fingertips, and realized years later that travel would become my passion. My dad was a commercial airline captain so, not surprisingly, I became a flight attendant with a major international airline. It is with this company where I received cultural training and was able to tap into the first-hand knowledge of my peers who had already forged paths into places unknown to me. Their invaluable experiences provided me with the stepping stones needed to reach out even further.

Fast forward to today and I now craft custom vacations centered around river cruising for curious travelers who want to see Europe their way. Europe holds a special place in my heart and I hope you will love, as I do, cruising on one of its many rivers; experiencing storybook country villages as well as vibrant cosmopolitan cities along the way.

It would be my pleasure to connect with you to determine if we would have a good time working together. My specialty lies in helping you discover which river cruise line and itinerary are a best match (while also planning your entire trip, not just the river cruise portion). In addition, I have a sub specialty; I have relationships with a few luxury, escorted tour companies that I believe offer wonderful small group land tours.
