Christoph Voelkel

I started my career in the travel industry in 2005, designing and leading Group tours for a Tour Operator in California, before joining Universal Travel as the VP & Managing Director of our Group Travel Division.

Travel planning is a passion that never feels like a job and has allowed me to put my insatiable curiosity for new experiences, people, and places along with a passion for food, culture, and adventure to good use. I draw on my diverse multi-cultural background to create unique, authentic experiences.

I have traveled extensively and created tours for many different groups. I enjoy great working relationships with the group departments of hotels, airlines, cruise lines, receptive tour companies, travel insurance companies, restaurants, motorcoach companies, and professional tour guides on all continents.

For destinations I have not experienced, my affiliation with Virtuoso grants me access to local experts around the world who I work with to design one-of-a-kind group tours.
