Wanderlust, curiosity, and delight are genes I inherited from my charismatic, late mother who founded our company almost 50 years ago. What's more exhilarating than sipping a crisp Italian wine overlooking the Amalfi Coast joined by a few dear friends and family? Or a tail-hook landing on an aircraft carrier? Or teaching dolphins English. This business is in my blood, even as I've also been a newspaper columnist, restaurateur, and serial entrepreneur. My life experiences give me a great breath of perspective. (I even teach Entrepreneurship at universities, to better plug into our future clients.) .... But long before I took over the company, and long before I got my MBA at UT Austin, when I didn't have a clue where life would lead me, my undergraduate majors were Spanish and Geography, My attorney son, well, his undergrad is in German. We're a peripatetic family!
