My Background

I left the corporate world 25 years ago to follow my absolute passion for travel and became a leisure travel consultant. I have been to 150 countries and to all continents and US states. I have been to all but 2 European countries and am an Aussie and New Zealand specialist. I love Africa and have traveled there 9 times. I go to Great Britain at least once a year to explore and London is my favorite city in the world.

One other specialty is cruising - I have been on 38 on rivers as well as oceans. I also have been involved with adventure and history travel for many years.

I am very proud to be in the first class of advisors trained on the WANDERLIST bucket list generator program. Since I have been all over the world, I am perfectly set up to help you decide where you want to go and then design a special experience for you!

I was one of the first travel agents to earn the new VTA certification from ASTA. I have my MBA from Stanford and my MLS from Rice. The only thing that approaches my passion for travel (besides my kids and beautiful granddaughter) is history. In fact, I am currently working on a Master in History from the University of Edinburgh. My primary specialty is European history, especially the UK, and the Holocaust, but I present at history symposiums on many topics and love to teach people where to go to make history come alive!

Keith and I cannot thank Linda de Sosa enough for her wonderful and excellent service in securing our stay at The Empress!!! We loved it!! She made our stay fabulous!! The Gold Floor was amazing and we thank you so much for the welcoming appetizers, wine and decadent chocolate mouse cake with a chocolate gold crown dusted in gold! We so appreciate your remembering our 37th Anniversary in such a wonderful way!!! We are still coming off of the "high' from such a beautiful experience!! We enjoyed sitting outdoors on the terrace patio watching the ferry come in with the harbor and the beautiful sunsets and the illuminated Governmental Building. The food was delicious and the wait staff were so charming and helpful. They upgraded us to a one bedroom suite overlooking the harbor - we felt very special and it was because of you that we received such treatment! We applaud you and the Virtuoso team for making it the best experience ever! We can't wait to go back!!

Linda is thorough, prompt, reliable, knowledgeable and creative. The reason you need these traits? Thorough-don't want to be left with no reservation, or transportation, or opportunity while on location-Linda covers everything! Prompt-when you need help, Linda takes care of it promptly. You don't want to spend your well-curated trip solving the random issues that come up, such as an adding a guest, rescheduling a tour, or changes due to weather. Reliable-Linda follows through. This is such an underrated value in business. Knowledgeable-She has been to over 100 countries, all 7 continents, and personally knows the ins and outs of each one. For example, crossing the Bosnian border, twice, while traveling the coastline of Croatia. Packing, Planning, Everything. Creative? Well that's a bonus! This Top Tier Travel Advisor knows how to make your trip really special...it's the little things, like a unique guest house or little known historical spot.

Linda planned a great trip to Barcelona for us. The apartment/hotel was in the perfect location and beautiful. The tours Linda organized for us were interesting and fun. They were on time and there were no problems. The guides were fantastic! There's so much to see and do in Barcelona and, thanks to Linda, we learned so much about the city. We're looking forward to planning our next trip through Linda.

I gave Linda my wish list of tours, I also asked that we have a day off in between. Linda not only stayed in constant communication, she also helped out when a tour was cancelled and suggested an alternate. Linda accommodated our every need.
