My Background

I grew up traveling; my parents had me on my first cross-country flight at age 1. When I was 8, a flight attendant on a long haul between Germany and the US gave me the paper flight map; to this day it hangs over my desk as a reminder of the powerful connections that result from travel.

Growing up, I always wanted to be an architect. After graduating from Miami University, I moved to Scotland to pursue a masters in Classical Archaeology & Ancient History.

A family vacation on a Lindblad Expeditions ship in Alaska opened my eyes to a new world. I went to work for Lindblad, on board the ships, for three years.

I find the world fascinating. I collect old maps/globes, and I read the news every morning over coffee. When I discovered that my passion was a mixture of travel and education, I booked a one-way ticket to New Zealand, threw my computer and camera in a bag, and set off to solo road trip across NZ, Australia, and Asia. 9 countries, 19 months, and 163gb of photos later, I returned home.

To me, travel opens doors you never knew were there and opens your eyes to the many threads that make up your life. Let me help you plan your next adventure!

Awesome Trip!!!

Sarah planned a wonderful trip to the Shetland Islands for a Viking festival--Up Helly Aa. She realized as we planned the trip that it also coincided with "Burns Night", the annual dinner in honor of Robert Burns, Scottish poet. She was able to secure tickets to one of the top Burns night dinners in Edinburgh, a kilt and tartan filled festival of Scots, with fabulous food--the Prestonfield House is one of the top hotels and restaurants in the city. She arranged the airport transfers from the airport to the hotel and back again--prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable drivers. She handled the cancellation of our flights (the whole airline shut down its flights) to Shetland promptly and was able to quickly book us on alternative flights with another airline at no extra cost. In Shetland, she had arranged for us to get hard-to-come-by tickets to one of the halls for the dance celebration after the fire festival. We had a fabulous time, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Terrific. She kept track of my flight schedule, and confirmed everything in real time. The important part of travel is smoothness--no surprises--and if there are surprises, somebody who fixes them. That is Sarah!

great trip

Sarah really knows the ins and outs of traveling abroad. She gave us detailed personal advice on traveling through the huge Amsterdam airport, arranged a driver in Vienna who navigated the one way streets expertly to get us to our hotel, arranged tours and concerts that met our needs and desires, and was available on-call if we had any concerns. With limited time to see and do a lot, having things pre-planned was a huge help, especially tours that "jumped the line" into busy and popular spots, such as the Vatican. She set us up with a personal website, with all our tickets and itineraries, weather reports for the places we were going, background information on the sights we planned to see, etc. There is no doubt our trip covered a lot of ground, but careful planning gave us a chance to appreciate all of it without feeling rushed and harried. She is definitely our personal travel advisor!

Personalized Stay

Working with Sarah was extremely easy and relaxed. We were able to consult with her over which hotels were available in Milan, and she recommended several which met our criteria for distance from the center, to the train station, and the different sites we were to visit. She truly took into account the different criteria, including overall price and amenities that we would receive. I fully recommend Sarah for any travel needs and for her knowledge of traveling in Europe and across the globe.

Sarah arranged everything for us, and kept track of us while we traveled. It was great not to have to worry that we would miss something, or that we would have a disruption or cancellation that we could not fix, because Sarah kept an eye on schedules, delays, and the weather, usually one step ahead of us. Everything went according to plan and we had a terrific trip. It was all we could have hoped for and more.

Sarah is great! Her enthusiasm for travel made planning my vacation a blast! She was able to expertly cater the events on my trip to my personality and vacation goals! She was able to work out all the details on very short notice took all the stress off me so I could focus on my last few weeks at work!

Traveling with Bad Weather

Sarah was great with helping me travel during bad winter weather. Her knowledge allowed me to avoid any delays or cancellations by proactively changing my flight. Obviously she can’t confrol the weather, but her knowledge of airport travel saved me an awful day of travel.

Personalized Trip - Stress Free

Due to the destination being only accessible by a small local airline, 2 itineraries were needed to arrive in the Shetland Islands via Edinburgh from Brussels. The arrival trip was very easy and pleasant, and I was even able to get some sight seeing in around Edinburgh due to the location of the hotel I over-nighted in. I had a wonderful time in the picturesque Shetland Islands (with even some days of sun and some of snow!) following a very personalized itinerary to visit things that really interested me, instead of the generic list of destinations. The town of Lerwick was great for some relaxing evenings or live music at the pub with the locals. Sarah was able to secure me tickets to a hall for the Up Helly Aa celebration, not an easy feat for such a huge evening. My return trip was handled perfectly as I arrived in Edinburgh to find that my flight to BRU was cancelled, Sarah swept in and got me home faster than the original itinerary. Excellent stress free trip because of Sarah!
