Ineke Brinkman

Ineke has a passion for group travel and escorts Journeys in Faith, riverboat cruising, tours to her home country the Netherlands, and she organizes and participates in adventure travel, be it climbing, hiking or cycling. There is no mountain too high.

Sports has always been in Ineke’s blood. In 2003 she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro; in 2007, reached Mt. Everest Base Camp and trekked the Inca Trail in 2009.

After operating her own business since 1993, Brinkman Travel joined Vision Travel Solutions in 2016, now under Direct Travel, a proud member of Virtuoso..

To adjust to personal and business changes shw walked the Camino; on May 21, 2017 Ineke reached Santiago de Compostella/Spain after walking 800 kilometers, continuing on to Finesterre: The end of the earth.

Being a lifetime member of the Bruce Trail keeps her walking, during Covid she completed the 900 km Bruce Trail from Queenston to Tobermory.

Being a member of the Niagara Freewheelers Cycling Club she put many miles on her bike; cycling with friends and organizing Bike&Barge tripsto the Netherlands, Belgium and France, and soon along the Danube are highlights.

Hosting Virtuoso guests aboard Seabourn's Ovation from Singapore to Dubai in 2019 was an amazing introduction to being appointed - along with life partner and co-host David - hosts on Seabourn's world cruise aboard the MS Sojourn in 2020 and again in 2024.

She was on cloud nine by receiving a confirmation to sail aboard Silver Sea's new expedition ship the Silver Endeavour to Antarctica and did the Polar Plunge to prove it.

Having visited Canada coast to coast in addition to - according to the Travelers' Century Club's official list of countries - 146 countries and territories, covering all seven continents, comfortable from camping to the most luxurious accommodation in the world, her curious mind continues to seek out new adventures.

The 2024 fall was busy with escorting a Battlefield Tour,, AMA Waterways Riverboat Cruises; an ACTA conference in the Azores and lest best being the Virtuoso Host for Collette Tours, pioneering in Finland&Lapland in December.

David and I are now looking forward to host Virtuoso guests aboard the MS Crystal Serenity World Cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona - travel dates: January 8 - May 10, 2025.

Ineke is at her best when sharing her passion and expertise with fellow travelers and serving those who wish to explore and experience.
