With a background shaped by high school and university sports, I was fortunate enough to travel all-over Canada and the U.S. early in life. That taste of floating around the planet (this side of it anyways anyways) sparked a lifelong passion for travel — Someone said … ‘The world is a book, and those who do not travel read but only one page’ so I started reading!

I got my start in the travel industry organizing large student Spring Break trips, concerts, and events in Mexico— with a strong foundation in Mexico and the Caribbean. But over the past two decades, that evolved into something far bigger. In 2001, just ten days after September 11th, we opened the doors to LATravel Group (formerly TravelMart) in Winnipeg, MB Canada.

Today, we specialize in building Luxury Travel Experiences — from mid-range escapes to white-glove, bucket list adventures around the world. Whether it’s an epic journey through Africa, a dream retreat in Greece, a once-in-a-lifetime voyage to Antarctica, or a high-touch honeymoon in South America, our team creates the kind of trips people talk about for a lifetime.

The group travel department remains strong: destination weddings, corporate incentives, wellness retreats, sports teams, educational programs, etc are all part of our wheelhouse. Travel for any group — large or small — takes deep planning, insider knowledge + connections, and trusted support on the ground.

From hosting 55+ Wellness Retreats to chartering a yacht for a wedding off the Amalfi Coast, LATravel Group goes beyond just booking. We handle everything — from flights to fine details — and often travel with our groups as dedicated guides and concierge, ensuring every experience runs flawlessly from start to finish.

Mexico and the Caribbean will always be our first love — it’s where it all began! We still know those destinations like it’s home, and continue to deliver wonderful experiences. But over the years, our clients have grown, and so has their appetite for travelling so now they trust us to show them more.
