My Background
My passion for travel began at any early age when I took part in a high school study abroad program in Brittany, France. After university, I moved to London to work and spent the next two and a half years traveling extensively throughout Europe. A native New Yorker, I moved home and spent the next six years working in finance and public relations roles with a focus on corporate travel, events, and business development. After years of planning corporate travel, leisure vacations, family trips, honeymoons and golf weekends; I decided to transform my passion for travel into a full time job.
When I'm not custom designing my clients itineraries and travel experiences, I can be found exploring new destinations throughout the world. I love to explore the culture, food/wine, adventure and off the beaten path experiences every new destination has to offer. My husband is an avid golfer, I am an equestrian and we both love yoga so we also try to incorporate these passions into our travels.

Expertise with a Smile

We recently returned from Sicily where Sarah had helped us with our reservations at a beautiful hotel in Taormina. Sarah was so supportive and patient with our every request. She followed through and investigated a number of different properties to find the perfect hotel and room for us. Because of Sarah we stayed in a gorgious quiet room with a veranda facing both the water and Mt Etna. Every evening we would enjoy this incredible vista with our books and a glass of Sicilian wine! Sarah was always prompt in answering our questions and never made us feel like we were requesting too much of her. We have already used her again to plan our family vacation for 8 people to the Galapagos which had multiple different parts including air travel from different cities, multiple cabins on the boat, insurance issues, etc. Again, everything went smoothly. I could not recommend her more if you, like me, appreciate prompt knowledgable, efficient service with graciousness.

A Conscientious Travel Agent

It is like so many things when things are going well and there is no problem, it is easy. It is when things are difficult, challenging and are not going well that a travel agents's true expertise manifests itself.
Sarah Halpern was there for us through the difficult planning process. The Silverseas company was going through some reorganization and computer update problems that made for a number of glitches in the reservation process. Sarah was on top of the problems and persisted till things were totally straightened out. She did not hesitate to reach out to the management at Silverseas and demand that they get involved in resolving the ongoing reservation issues. Thanks to Sarah's conscientious persistence, dedication to her clients and continual follow up, our family's vacation for eight people was a smooth and fantastic holiday.

I've worked with Sarah on all of my trips for over a year. She's consistently goes above and beyond to make the process turn key for me. I'm a frequent traveler that has always booked my own travel, but having Sarah has proven to be invaluable. I am not longer spending time on selecting a room category, communicating my special requests to hotels, price shopping various sites for the best package- Sarah takes care of all of it and more for me. I've also experienced situations in which the hotel will make a mistake but Sarah will tiredlessly work on my behalf to correct it. I highly recommend using Sarah for your bookings.

Sarah is an awesome trip planner! She's planned several trips for my family and helped us rearrange almost every detail. Her best quality is that she is super responsive. We also like that she remembers what we did on previous trips, what we liked and didn't, and tries to incorporate those things into our next booking. It's a real client/advisor relationship. We already have and will continue to refer our friends to Sarah!
