Jim Welch has been traveling the world since attending the 1988 Olympics in South Korea. While there he met his soon-to-be adopted little brother at a local orphanage. During a Rome trip, Jim had the rare chance to have private mass with Saint Pope John Paul II in his residence chapel. As a student he spent a semester aboard a ship as it went around the world, and as part of MBA studies he traveled to China & Thailand.

Sparked by a lifelong interest & passion in traveling, Jim moved from a successful 13+ yrs corporate finance career and co-launched Amaze Travel.

With his wife, they were finalists to host their own travel show on a prominent cable travel channel. He has been on Fox 2 & WXYZ 7, and in Detroit Free Press, Chicago Tribune & Crain’s Detroit. Jim is a honored as a Top Producer as part of Montecito Village Travel's President's Club.
