I have long been enchanted with the world beyond my native Florida. Born of Cuban and French Canadian parents, I had an early fascination for diverse cultures - their history, customs and cuisines - which remains a constant source of travel inspiration. My first impressionable travel experience was a study abroad program in Spain which markedly revealed to me the charms of soaking in local life. I still love to balance classic sights with lesser known paths - both invariably leading to delicious and interesting local food!
