My passion for cruising and travel led me to open my own agency over 30 years ago. I had 3 young children and started my business when my youngest went to kindergarten. I was previously a Speech Pathologist.

I am an expert in worldwide travel and especially planning trips for families and honeymoons. I know from firsthand experience what a great educational and bonding time those trips can be, and I encourage families to make travel together a priority. As I raised my children, we traveled every year to destinations such as Australia, Europe, Alaska, Costa Rica, Peru and Africa (both south and east Africa). I consider an African safari to be the best trip for families with kids 12 and older and I credit my family’s two Africa trips with giving me the best memories and experiences.

I have planned exotic trips for photographers, culinary experts and created honeymoons to Asia, India and New Zealand. One of my favorite trips to combine with an African Safari is gorilla tracking in Rwanda. That adds only 3 nights to a safari trip and is an opportunity and experience of a lifetime. Honeymoons to Hawaii, Italy and Greece are also very popular and now seem to replace the Caribbean as destinations for couples who are seeking culture with relaxation.

Cruise & World Travel has been a Virtuoso member since 2001 and I have won several Virtuoso top travel awards.I was elected to the Virtuoso Cruise Committee in 2007 and have been on it for 12 years. I have received numerous honors within the industry including being recognized in 2008 by Travel + Leisure Magazine as an A-List Top Travel Expert and in 2011 as a Top Agent with Travel Agent magazine. I named as one of the world’s top culinary travel experts by Saveur Magazine and Bon Appetit where I served on the advisory board. In addition, I received an Entrepreneurial Excellence Award from Working Woman Magazine. I have been quoted in travel articles published in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, AARP Magazine, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine,Family Circle and Bride’s Magazine.
