Angela Wallace

After graduating from high school, I had the incredible opportunity to study at the University of Barcelona for six weeks. Following that, I spent my junior year at the University of Madrid and another six weeks in Puebla, Mexico. In 1971, I decided to join Pan American World Airways to explore the world. I married Jim Wallace in 1973, and in 1974, we moved to Fernandina Beach, where we opened THE TRAVEL AGENCY.

Throughout the years, we have not only grown our business but also evolved alongside our community as it transformed with the addition of the Amelia Island Plantation and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. In 1996, we became members of Virtuoso, which allowed us to advance from travel agents to travel consultants, ultimately achieving the professional status of a team filled with true travel advisors.

My true passion is expedition and active travel and the sustainability at the core of this style travel. I love to share this way of travel as a force for good in the world.

It has been an incredible 50 years filled with diverse experiences. In 2000, my daughter joined the business. Together in 2013, after Jim passed away, we rebranded the company as First Coast Tours, Inc., dba Wallace Pierson Travel! With this exciting change behind us, we eagerly anticipate the future growth within the travel industry. Our mission remains clear: we do not merely sell travel; we educate and advise savvy travelers!
