It was a pleasure working with June. she came highly recommended and did not disappoint. she made great suggestions for my trip. I trusted her to make several key choices for hotels, flights, dining time, etc. and it worked out perfect. She followed up several times before and after the trip. i definitely feel like I received excellent service even though I was traveling on a budget. i will return to Brownell for my next trip and will refer all my friends to work with Brownell Travel

I appreciate June. She has helped me and my wife with many trips and always does a great job. She has helped me when I have put groups together for overseas trips. I have recommended her to other people. I would not use anyone else. She follows through on everything.

i have used June 15 yrs for every trip our family has taken. We ski, go to the Keys, NYC for shows and just returned from Europe. She has never made a mistake on any of our trips, tickets, anything. June knows our preferences, desires, and concerns. 4 yrs ago we scheduled a family trip to Cancun. 4 months before the date I was diagnosed with cancer, she canceled the trip and we received our money back. Highly REC June T Smith!!!!!

My wife and I have used June's services for European travel with our grand children a number of times.  She is the best.  She knows what we like and what we need, and takes great care of us.  We know we can rely other judgement and advice. We just finished another trip and it was very successful and well planned out because of June.  She'll be in on planning our next adventure as well.

Glacier National Park and surroundings are beautiful, but Lakes Louise and Moraine in Alberta are even more spectacular. The temps were in the 90's, but it was mostly comfortable. I do not recommend the Fairmont in Lake Louise. It's overpriced ($30 buffet breakfast) and overcrowded, and many rooms have no AC. Rooms with the "mountain view" are hit by the day sun and they intolerably hot, day and night. They have tiny ceiling and desk fans, but neither could save us from three sleepless nights. I learned from fellow guests, as well as postings on TripAdvisor, that this is a persistent complaint. There are other nice places to stay close enough nearby that you can stop by the Lake and the Chateau to view the scenery, and take the hike to the teahouse

Little guidance, copy/paste of info

June recommended a few nice hotels but they were ones I also had found as top-rated hotels on TripAdvisor. I was hoping for a more personalized list of activities/sites to see but received a basic copy/paste from a package tour which wasn't very applicable to the length of our trip. It would have been useful to receive a couple alternative itineraries for cities to visit, along with the pros and cons. Overall the information I received was also readily available through free travel review sites; nothing new or very informative was added by using a travel agent. June was also very busy and at times hard to reach. She booked the hotels - this saved me time - but other than that offered little guidance or service. The #1 nice-to-know that we wish we had received: near the end of the trip, instead of driving back 3.5-4 hours on the same route, we could have A) booked a puddle jumper from a small local airport back to the main airport or B) taken a more scenic, gas-saving ferry instead.

Smooth flying, driving and trip! Thank you!

The trip could not have been easier. My favorite part was breezing through security in Denver with my new travel number - no taking off shoes, taking out computer or waiting in a 45 min line. Everything went very well and it was a great visit with grandchildren. For the whole trip there was not a worry in the world. Thanks, Liz

Our Viking Grand European Tour was everything we had hoped for ... and then some. The cruise was fabulous - the ports, the food, the excursions, and the service. We were extremely pleased also with our pre- and post-cruise add-on stays in Amsterdam and Budapest. The hotels Viking arranged for us were fantastic as were the Viking representatives stationed at each. They were so helpful and friendly. We would consider ourselves truly blessed to travel with Viking again.

Always upbeat, professional, thorough.

Agent needs to do research

By: Soibean

Reviewed on: 03 Aug 2015

The accommodations and air were fine. There was one major snafu, and it could have been avoided if the agent had done just a bit of research. We went to San Francisco, and one of the sites we really wanted to see was Alcatraz. We told June that months ago. Her response then was, "No need for reservations. Just show up." (I'm paraphrasing, but that was the essence of the message.) A few days before we left, I started doing some of my own research for things to do, and discovered that you have to book for Alcatraz weeks or even months ahead of time. One brief look at www.alcatrazcruises.com would have told her that. Since we hadn't booked ahead of time, we were out of luck. That was a major, and avoidable, disappointment.
