I caught the travel bug when my parents took me out of school for a month in 1987 to travel to Kenya. It’s tough to know what I truly remember versus what is through the photos and stories shared, but I have fond memories of our tent in the Masai Mara, walking on the white sand beaches of Mombasa and having my eyes opened to the townships of Nairobi.
From there I was seeking out every travel opportunity I could – an exchange program to Italy in high school, studying abroad in England while in University, and a trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp, Nepal, the summer after my freshman year.
I grew up in Toronto, Canada, an amazing cosmopolitan and multi-cultural city. I’ve lived in Boston, MA, Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, various parts of Northern and Southern California, and finally put down roots in Wellesley, MA. So I guess I’ve always had a wanderlust – constantly looking for the next adventure and measuring life by experiences.
I have two children and am busy training them to be world travelers too!
