My first trip overseas was when I was 20 to study in New Zealand. I had never been abroad. This trip changed the course of my life. I arrived, bought a car with two strangers I had just met, and we traveled almost every inch of all three islands of New Zealand (North, South, and Stewart Islands). While meeting other travelers along the way and discovering a new destination, I realized there was so much more to the life I had planned. I came back to graduate college and then moved to Ireland, which prompted the next six years of my life overseas, traveling to more than 60 countries and six continents. My original dream was to be a news anchor for NBC Chicago 5 News where I was interning. Now, I have my actual dream job and I watch the news daily! Win, win! I have been working as a travel advisor at Jet Set for 9 years and believe have now traveled to almost 100 countries!!
