Urban Adventures Little Havana Adventure

Get a taste of Havana in the most Cuban-influenced city in America! Visit with a renowned historian specialising in the preservation of Cuban art. See the famous Marlins Park with its cool display of art. Sip that famous Cuban coffee, cortadito, and try your hand at rolling your own Cuban cigar. Your Miami tour will begin with a visit to either Marlins Park (seasonal) or the Freedom Tower, both historic landmarks that are near and dear to Miami and the Cuban community. We’ll check out some historic architectural beauties, as well as a few unique art collections. Of course, you can’t have a Little Havana tour without a true Cuban coffee in-hand, so we’re taking you for the most delicious dose of caffeine you’ll find this side of the Florida Straits. Cortadito is Cuban espresso, and we’ll pair it with a typical Cuban pastry to give you the boost you need to keep moving on your Miami tour! Next up, another Cuban culture classic: learning how to roll your own fine cigar. But that’s not all — you’ll be learning from a world master of tobacco at the famous Gran Habano factory. From there, we’re off to meet and greet a Cuban historian and collector of Cuban artwork: Roberto Ramos. Ramos is the founder of Cuba Ocho, a cultural centre featuring a historic collection dating from 1803 to 1958. Sip on mojitos while listening to the incredible journey Ramos made to preserve Cuban paintings and cultural history. We’ll see the important Bay of Pig monument en route to a favourite local juice bar, where you’ll get to quench your thirst with a dose of sugarcane juice or drink out of a freshly cut coconut. We’ll also visit SW 8th Street to experience the Caribbean flavour that fills the air, from the classic Domino Park where locals challenge one another to domino games, to the conga music that’s played live in the streets.

Urban Adventures Urban Spirit Art Crawl

Explore one of the world’s great contemporary art scenes: the Wynwood Art District. Learn the stories behind Miami’s street art, and see murals tucked away from the tourist zone. Sample signature cocktails from local neighbourhood hotspots. Visit galleries featuring fine art, pop art and contemporary art from notable artists. Ready to get cultured? Your Miami tour will take you to some of the city’s best spots for street art and design — but first, how about a get-to-know-you beverage to start off the adventure? You’ll begin your tour with a signature cocktail at a local venue specialising in customised spirits. From there, we’re heading off-the-beaten-path to the Wynwood neighbourhood, where you can view iconic murals such as the Boom Box by Chor Boogie and Trek 6, and a host of others. Your Miami city tour will then proceed along 2nd Avenue, stopping at galleries featuring fine art, pop art, and contemporary art from notable artists. You’ll take a break at another trendy venue to test out their signature cocktail before resuming your street art tour. More murals, as well as some historical Miami trivia, will keep you busy as you pass by trendy local shops and head toward the world-famous Wynwood Walls and Wynwood Doors. From there, your Miami art tour will travel along 23rd Street and stop at a few notable galleries and murals by notable artists such as Rone (featured in a Victoria’s Secret ad campaign, but don’t worry, we promise to keep our clothes on). We'll bid farewell from there, but if you need any hot Miami suggestions for the rest of your stay, just ask.

Urban Adventures Art, Food, Wynwood

See the Iconic Wynwood Murals and Wynwood Walls and Doors, home to some of the world’s best street art. Sample signature tapas and cocktails at trendy new spots in the city. Visit iconic collections of contemporary artwork by international artists. Dine on a special menu created by a top Miami chef (at your own cost). You’ll begin your Miami tour taking in what many consider to be the world’s best collection of street art: the Wynwood Murals and Doors. Here, you’ll discover where and how real estate visionary Tony Goldman planted the seed of inspiration to bring art to a crumbling neighbourhood. The exquisite collection of murals within the Walls includes works by some of the most prominent artists in the world, and serves as backdrop for the neighbourhood’s trendy restaurants and edgy shops. Don’t be surprised if you’re delighted by something new around every corner — maybe a fascinating piece of art, an exotic dish, or a chair you never knew you had to have. You’ll get to see amazing murals from recognised artists such as Retna, Chor Boogie, Shepard Fairey, Trek 6, and others. Along the way, you’ll also learn a bit of historical trivia about Miami and the Wynwood neighbourhood, once known as the “Little Broadway of the South.” The next stop on your Miami art tour will be the Wynwood Art District, where art galleries, studios, and street art co-exist with some of the best contemporary art collections in the world. The Rubell Family Collection occupies 45,000 square feet over 28 galleries in a building that once housed contraband seized by the American Drug Enforcement Administration. In the nearby Margulies Warehouse, collector Martin Z. Margulies converted a huge space to exhibit his collection of photography, video, and sculptures. The De La Cruz Collection in the Design District houses international contemporary works from the personal collection of Cuban-American power couple Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz. And to keep you fuelled as you explore, throughout the tour you’ll be treated to tapas and cocktails at several top eateries within the area, including an art-filled lounge, and a quirky spot that’s part beer garden, part butcher shop. Our Miami tour will end with an optional three-course lunch or dinner (depending on the tour start time) in one of the city’s celebrated restaurants. Whether it’s Asian bistro or modern American cuisine, we’ll take you to a great place where you can enjoy a special menu created by a world-renowned top chef. (Please note that this dinner is not included in the tour price and is at your own cost.)
