SEASONAL PROPERTY: Property will be closed from December 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024 and December 1, 2024 through February 28, 2025

Deposit Terms

Reservations will be confirmed on payment of a 50% non‐refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due 45 calendar days prior to the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made within 45 calendar days of arrival are 100% non‐refundable. A stay at the Inn is subject to a 15% sales tax (HST).

In the event that you are not able to visit at the time of your booking, Fogo Island Inn will issue a credit for the unused nights. This credit can be applied to future stays at Fogo Island Inn, is valid for one year from the date of cancellation and is transferable to others. The credit cannot be converted to a cash or in‐kind refund.

Cancellation Terms

Cancellations have a significant negative impact on us. We are a small property of twenty‐nine rooms, and we operate as a social enterprise. The Inn is a community asset owned by a registered Canadian charity called Shorefast, and 100% of operating surpluses are returned to Shorefast for reinvestment in charitable programs on Fogo Island that advance knowledge production, preservation, and sharing in the spheres of art, culture, and the environment. There is no private financial gain created from the Inn’s operations. Further, our local hiring and ethical sourcing practices support hundreds of households in our region. When you stay with us, you directly contribute to the well‐being of our employees, our community, and our province. Thank you for your support.

We appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can cause a disruption in travel plans. For that reason, we do recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance.
